# The Block Graph WebMCP API changelog

API versions use semantic versioning independently of site build numbers and Minecraft dataset versions.
Major versions change the contract incompatibly; minor versions add compatible capabilities; patch versions fix compatible behavior.
Dataset refreshes and site builds alone do not change the API version.

## 2.23.8 - 2026-10-20

Compatible UI coverage update. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- Document separate Skyblock, One Block and Lucky Block progression pages with independent draft snapshots.
- Keep Vanilla and its poster at existing URLs. No callable tools, schemas or farm-rank rules change.
- Migration: refresh discovery coverage; existing links and tool inputs remain valid.

## 2.23.7 - 2026-10-20

Compatible coverage update. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- Document the UI-only progression poster route, eight sizes, PNG/print controls and downloadable JSON snapshot.
- Correct map coverage to nine lanes and 17 numbered strata; catalogue ranks stay unchanged.
- Migration: refresh discovery coverage; no tool schema changes.

## 2.23.6 - 2026-10-19

Compatible guide-coverage clarification. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- Document Day One (0) as the editorial map opening: hands, a crafting table, wood tools, gathered food and optional first loot or village discovery.
- Later strata remain unnumbered. Catalogue ranks and eligibility computations are unchanged.
- Migration: refresh capability descriptions. No schema migration; map rank zero is not a new accepted farm rank.

## 2.23.5 - 2026-10-19

Compatible guide-coverage correction. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- Add Exploration & Loot to the UI-only progression guide. Separate first iron builds, reliable equipment and bulk infrastructure supply.
- Describe responsive strata: aligned lanes on wide screens, labeled lane sections on narrow screens, without horizontal scrolling.
- Migration: refresh capability descriptions. No schema migration or farm rank changes; the map remains editorial guidance rather than computed unlock gates.

## 2.23.4 - 2026-10-19

Compatible guide-coverage correction. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- Document the Home lane, from a crafting table and first bed through workstations, storage and larger projects.
- Nether access and dragon victory now appear as approximate milestone bands. Cleric workstation sourcing includes crafting with blaze rods and finding an existing stand.
- Migration: refresh capability descriptions. No schema migration or farm rank changes; map placement remains UI-only editorial guidance and does not introduce mandatory gates.

## 2.23.3 - 2026-10-19

Compatible guide-coverage correction. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- Describe five compact progression lanes, soft strata, optional materials and shared world milestones.
- Connections are UI-only data shown in waypoint details and a lane-grouped reading view, without flow lines. Elytra rewards and Open World do not introduce mandatory boss gates.
- Migration: refresh capability descriptions. No schema migration; do not derive farm ranks or hard prerequisites from lane placement. Existing rank contracts remain unchanged.

## 2.23.2 - 2026-10-19

Compatible documentation correction. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- The progression guide now presents common routes, parallel projects and shortcuts that rejoin later waypoints. Its world-context notes and future SIFT placeholder are UI-only planning content.
- Legacy rank fields and scoring remain unchanged. Old rank anchors land at the map; they do not identify replacement ranks.
- Migration: refresh capability descriptions. No schema migration; do not infer map strata from legacy rank numbers.

## 2.23.1 - 2026-10-19

Compatible correction. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- Correct an encoded range in the progression-guide capability description. No discovery fields, rank semantics or farm data change.
- Migration: none required; existing guide URLs and rank dictionaries are unchanged.

## 2.23.0 · 2026-10-19

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`.
- Discovery adds `farmProgress.guideUrl` and `farmProgress.labelStatus` (`"provisional"`). The new static `/farms/progression/` guide explains the shared 11-rank dictionary and parallel equipment, enchanting, iron-supply, dimension and boss milestones.
- Farm rank links open their numbered guide entry. Current numeric ranks, labels, gates and sorting remain unchanged; this is not a personalized eligibility solver.
- Migration: accept the two additive discovery fields and resolve `guideUrl` against the site origin. Farm JSON schema stays 1.0.0. Read actual gates rather than inferring them from a label or stage icon.

## 2.22.1 · 2026-10-19

Compatible correction. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`, `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Exclude the non-productive `mob-bat` habitat from farm cards, search, static catalogues and candidate progression graphs in both editions.
- Retain its source ID, version history and individual detail/JSON/get_farm URLs for historical links. The record still declares no harvest; this does not classify habitat as a farm.
- Migration: refresh cached listings and graphs. No fields or JSON schemas are removed; farm schema remains 1.0.0.

## 2.22.0 · 2026-10-19

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`, `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Publish static schema 1.0.0 catalogue, individual farm and candidate incidence graph JSON under `/data/farms/v1/`. Export stable original IDs, groups, layouts, categorized resources/tools/stations, typed outcomes, numeric ranks and explicit gates from the shared site functions.
- Search adds exact `requiresResources`, `requiresTools`, `requiresStations`, `producesIds`, rank bounds and `layoutScope` filters, returning `requirements`, `jsonUrl` and `matchingLayoutIds`. All filters must match one layout; progress sorting remains the default-layout rank. Detail adds `catalogueRecord`; discovery adds `farmJson` URLs.
- Migration: existing calls remain valid. Accept additive schema 1.x fields, sort by `progress.rank`, and match input IDs against `acceptedIds`. Requirements are partial illustrated starting supplies, not operating rates or craft-expanded costs. The graph preserves alternatives, conditions and cycles; it is not a feasible build order. See `/data/farms/v1/README.md`.

## 2.21.0 · 2026-10-19

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Replace the zombie iron spawner marker with a complete proposed 9 × 9 room, source placements, stepped channel, lever-controlled iron door and control ledge. Update materials, relocated snow button, inlet control, loading preview and selected-layout progression costs. Retain unfinished gameplay status.
- Add optional `blueprint.floorGuide` (`min`, `max`, `label`) and `blueprint.transferPath` (`points`, `label`) in scene block units. These annotations are excluded from construction and occupied-space totals; a transfer path is not fluid simulation.
- Migration: accept the optional annotation fields and refresh cached zombie iron geometry, materials, progression and revision. Existing seed-source IDs and the captured default are unchanged. Preserve the existing source spawner; count two rendered door halves as one door item.

## 2.20.0 · 2026-10-19

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Add Captured zombie (`compact`) and Spawner seed (`spawner`) options within the independent `zombie-iron` entry. Share source requirements, optional hints and Progress starter gates with the UI.
- Add optional `blueprint.residents` metadata for live entities, excluded from construction counts. Correct hollow flower-pot modeled volume; exclude the existing spawner source marker from supplied materials.
- Migration: accept the new layout ID and optional residents (`id`, `name`, model-center `at` in block units, quarter-turn `turn`). Refresh the farm revision and space metrics. Marker coordinates do not specify a spawning room or transport route. Default selection and existing fields remain compatible; in-game status remains unfinished.

## 2.19.0 — 2026-10-19

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Add optional `hint.productionNotes` string arrays, shared with the visible Yield notes row. Move harvest baselines, modifiers, chances, attribution, collection alternatives and fuel notes out of concise production text.
- Clean typed melon and template output labels; preserve original source output strings, semantic identities, icons, per-edition behavior, per-layout hints and typed conditions. Revise affected farm records and retain their existing verification events.
- Migration: accept and display `hint.productionNotes` separately from `production` or `produces`. Do not parse human-readable production or labels to determine yield eligibility; use structured notes and `produces.condition`. Refresh cached labels and affected farm revisions. Policy remains 2.0.0.

## 2.18.0 — 2026-10-19

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Count one copper block and carved pumpkin for summoning, reuse the resulting input chest, and remove optional honeycomb from required materials.
- Add upper side walls and a roof to the stair work cell, construction stages and a living resident. Retain nine separate destination chests.
- Add the minecart layout with a stationary cart and recoverable loading rail/support. Entity overlays are excluded from occupied block counts. Exact positioning, reach and containment remain unverified in-game.
- Migration: Refresh cached copper-golem-sorter data and resource totals. Existing farm ID, compact layout and response shapes remain valid. Read layout-specific requirements and the unverified construction conditions before building. lastVerified remains null; policy remains 2.0.0.

## 2.17.0 — 2026-10-19

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Add Java-only zombie-iron as its own catalogue entry and route, not an alias or variant of iron-golem, mob-zombie or zombie reinforcements.
- Shared domain data exposes the manual conversion cycle, snapshot availability, rare player-kill outputs, source links, unfinished construction status, progression and Change 1 metadata.
- The loop depends on experimental Frostbite mechanics outside pinned Java 26.2. Conversion reset is a creator report; simplified geometry and gameplay are unverified. No Bedrock compatibility or hourly rate is claimed.
- Migration: Existing IDs, inputs and response shapes remain valid. Refresh farm catalogue caches to discover zombie-iron. Read sinceVersion, conditions, construction readiness and lastVerified before building; dataset.targetVersion is not a farm compatibility guarantee. Policy remains 2.0.0; the title does not change gameplay policy.

## 2.16.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Farm results add persisted `version: {date, change}` and nullable `lastVerified`, also present in shared and edition catalogue files. Tracking begins at Change 1 on 2026-10-17; no earlier history or verification is inferred.
- The numeric change belongs to the original farm ID, continues across dates and is independent of site builds and Minecraft versions. Layouts share their parent farm's revision; separate source IDs have independent counters.
- `lastVerified` is data only and initially null everywhere. A future in-game event can record `{date, change, edition, gameVersion}`; later revisions retain that exact old verification reference.
- Migration: cache by farm source ID and `version.change`, and use `version.date` for the revision date. Refresh records; no input changes. Neither a farm revision nor construction/browser review establishes gameplay verification. Policy stays 2.0.0.

## 2.15.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Add `produces` arrays to farm search/detail and `hint.produces` to detail, reusing the UI's typed output model. Preserve the existing `outputs` strings and production/yield descriptions.
- Each entry carries `kind`, `id`, `label`, `icon`, and optional `condition` / `relation: alternative`. Distinguish items, entities, XP, categories, block states, access and no harvest. Category icons are representative, not complete loot tables.
- Resource icon IDs are sprite rendering keys; optional `display: block` selects cube artwork. Entity icons use named portraits; XP and no harvest use built-in symbols. Icon artwork is not itself a promised output.
- Migration: adopt `produces` for typed identities and rendering; retain production text for quantities and eligibility. Refresh cached records. Existing inputs and string outputs stay valid.

## 2.14.1 — 2026-10-17

Compatible fix. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Correct paired bed turns for cat-gift, villager-breeding and Bedrock villager-trading examples, including compact and roomier layouts. Pillows and end textures now follow the bed's length.
- Quantities, progression ranks and gameplay requirements are unchanged.
- Migration: refresh cached farm blueprints. Existing IDs, layouts and input/output shapes remain valid.

## 2.14.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_get_api_info`, `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Discovery exposes the shared 1–11 progression dictionary. Farm records and selected layouts add Required Progress estimates with numeric rank, tools, Source/Site access gates, starting-cost basis, reasons and sources.
- Search accepts optional `sortBy: name | progress` and `sortDirection: asc | desc`; unchanged defaults sort by name. Numeric progress ties sort by name and ID for stable pagination.
- Workload and resource variety may raise a rank without introducing End or boss gates. Preserve actual tool requirements, alternative sourcing, incomplete examples and null construction counts.
- Migration: refresh cached farms/layouts and sort on `progress.rank`, using discovery labels for display. Existing IDs, required inputs and default name ordering remain valid. These are self-supplied example estimates, not proven global minima or a personalized unlock state.

## 2.13.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Blueprint materials add nonempty Resources, Tools and Stations groups while retaining entries, notes, quantities, alternatives and enchantments. Optional requirement category overrides preserve contextual tools.
- Farm details and each layout add nullable core automation logic with kind, status, sequence, reset/control and sources. Definitions distinguish active redstone, passive item transfer and living golem sorting; the failed brittle-ice reconstruction stays incomplete. Custom spider/witch flushing logic is available even where geometry serialization remains partial.
- Migration: refresh cached farm details. Existing IDs, inputs and entries remain valid. Do not sum category groups with the original entries, or treat illustrated logic as in-game verification.

## 2.12.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Adds `copper-golem-sorter`: nine single-chest positions in a 3×3 wall, copper input chest, lowered stair, fence work cell, resources and separate occupied-space/model-volume measurements.
- Retains sample items, free capacity, a living waxed golem, item conservation and edition-specific in-game reach verification. Does not promise fixed throughput or priority overflow.
- Migration: refresh farm caches. Existing IDs, fields and inputs remain unchanged. This utility sorts supplied items rather than creating new resources.

## 2.11.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Wet sponge drying keeps `compact` and `expanded` furnace layouts and adds `nether` plus Bedrock-only `desert` placement alternatives.
- Optional `blueprint.hint` carries each method's concise operation, production and requirements; the UI presents the same list in one selector.
- Migration: refresh cached sponge layouts and use returned layout IDs. Existing farm IDs and numeric operation modes retain their meaning; modes and layout IDs are separate. Java excludes desert placement.

## 2.10.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.
- Adds `chicken-lava`, a compact player-operated batch cooker with separate egg and lava controls, materials, measurements, conditional cooked drops and pending in-game verification.
- Groups it with `chicken-eggs` under Chicken farming, preserving both method routes and selected search matches.
- Migration: refresh farm/group caches. No existing input or field changes. Supply eggs separately, wait for every chick to mature, retrieve lava before restarting, and do not treat the example as fully automatic or lossless.

## 2.9.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Group zombie, husk, stray and bogged records under `undead-mob-farming`, with species specializations and search-selected target links.
- Preserve each original ID, route, mixed-mob layout profile, biome, sky/roof requirement, water handling, drops, safety instructions and evidence.

Migration: no input, field or original-ID changes. Refresh cached grouping metadata and read the selected specialization; shared collection does not imply identical spawning rules or species-exclusive output. Policy stays 2.0.0.

## 2.8.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible addition. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Group skeleton and creeper farming under `skeleton-creeper-farming`, with species specializations and both original links. Search selects a matching member.
- Preserve each farm's ID, route, output focus, evidence and safety requirements. Both illustrations remain mixed-mob towers; selection does not filter other mobs.

Migration: no input, field or original-ID changes. Refresh cached group metadata and follow specialization links. Retain skeleton sightline and creeper explosion precautions. Policy stays 2.0.0.

## 2.7.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible additions. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Add chicken egg layout `protected`, alongside `compact` (Basic) and `expanded` (Roomier layout). Closed full-cube walls/roof, a non-spawnable floor and an external chest distinguish protection from basic open fencing.
- Generic construction cells use `visual:any_solid_block`, represented as glass. Their counted `material:any_solid_block` inventory category accepts stable, non-damaging full cubes; `variants` lists example concrete choices. Required glass floor cells remain separate.

Migration: no input or field changes. Refresh cached layouts and materials. The material category is not a Minecraft item/tag; choose a concrete block meeting its label. Preserve required glass flooring. Exact illustrations remain pending in-game verification.

## 2.6.1 — 2026-10-17

Compatible correction. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Remove decorative flowers/mushrooms and their two support blocks from roomier cow milking, mooshroom stew and inherited mooshroom shearing layouts. Scene-derived materials and space measurements update automatically.
- Compact layouts and functional flower requirements remain unchanged.

Migration: no input or field changes. Refresh cached geometry, material counts and space measurements for these layouts. Existing ^2.6.0 clients remain compatible.

## 2.6.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible additions. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Group shared animal operations, with 22 breeding species and separate milking/stew, incubation and squid groups. Preserve all original species IDs, routes, inputs, outputs and evidence.
- Add optional group `selectionKind` and `specializations`; retain legacy `variants` member links. Height and area are requirements, not variant identities.
- Animal blueprints/layouts add optional `enclosure` example properties, with `minimumVerified: false`. Reuse the UI domain function. Nether filtering discovers the cross-origin breeding family; API record-origin filtering stays unchanged.

Migration: no input changes. Use specialization metadata when present; read each selected species/layout’s requirements. Do not treat illustrated dimensions as engine minima or flatten conditional outputs.

## 2.5.1 — 2026-10-17

Compatible correction. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Water-placement labels for frog and husk layouts, and planted-flower notes for bee breeding, match the selected scene's dimensions. Reusable bucket and consumed feeding counts stay unchanged.
- Visible UI notes retain nursery transfer and outdoor growth requirements. Clarify that some specialist/pre-existing version controls remain UI-only; an empty serialized layout list does not imply a globally minimal or unique build.

Migration: no fields or inputs change; ^2.5.0 clients remain compatible. Use each layout's material labels and notes.

## 2.5.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible additions. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Add optional blueprint `space` and `layouts`, with full scene, material and space data for each supported alternative. Shared site functions choose the compact default and preserve roomier layouts.
- Separate occupied non-air block cells from fractional cuboid model volume and the enclosing volume of air. Report unmeasured shapes explicitly. This is not collision volume or a full-farm measure for custom partial diagrams.
- Compact fishing distinguishes basic fish/junk from Java open-water treasure eligibility. Pens, nurseries, conversion beds and manual furnaces gain compact defaults. Cobblestone defaults to Crafty compact.

Migration: no input changes. Inspect each layout’s caption/conditions and conditional hint before using its scene; dimensions, materials, automation and harvest eligibility can differ from prior defaults. Use `layouts` for the retained original. Do not assume a global minimum or in-game proof.

## 2.4.1 — 2026-10-17

Compatible corrections. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Shared crop profiles distinguish game state from texture count and align hints with timeline labels: carrots/potatoes 0–7, Java beetroot 0–3, Bedrock beetroot 0–7, nether wart 0–3.
- Correct conditional main outputs for XP collection, fish capture/killing, sculk mining, drowned equipment and Bedrock raid loot. Add leaf-harvest tools and the Bedrock tropical-fish mangrove habitat branch.
- Existing source records, fields, inputs, IDs and policy remain intact. These are source-backed corrections, not in-game blueprint validation.

Migration: Existing `^2.4.0` clients remain compatible. Treat production text as conditional, not an exhaustive loot list or guaranteed rate. Texture counts are not growth-state counts.

## 2.4.0 — 2026-10-17

Compatible additions. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tool: `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Detail hints add optional `production` (a string) and `exceptions` (a string array), sharing the UI domain copy. All existing hint fields remain.
- Four farmland crops specify mature gross harvests without Fortune, including Java/Bedrock wheat seed yields and beetroot maturity differences. Hydration is a speed improvement; dry planted farmland remains usable in the Nether. Other yields remain unquantified.
- Farm UI uses one action sequence and compact Produces, Requires and optional Exceptions rows. The original mechanism explanation remains available through the API and references.

Migration: Existing clients remain compatible. Require `^2.4.0` for the optional fields; fall back to existing output labels when `hint.production` is absent. Counts are gross drops, before reserving replanting stock. Policy remains 2.0.0.

## 2.3.0 — 2026-10-16

Compatible additions. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Search items add `hint: {tldr, mechanism}`. Details add `hint: {tldr, mechanism, needs, sources}`, using the same reviewed domain function as the UI.
- Every source record has a concise explanation of the Minecraft rule or behavior behind its output, essential conditions and reference links. Canonical aliases share the same mechanism explanation.
- Farm pages and cards replace repeated long-form prose with a dense hint. Diagrams, meaningful controls, per-variant records and original full API data are retained.

Migration: Existing inputs, IDs, URLs and fields remain valid. Existing `^2.x` clients remain compatible; require `^2.3.0` for hint metadata. Hints are not complete build instructions or proof of in-game validation. Follow `hint.sources` for depth or read the original `conditions`, `operation` and `blueprint` fields. Policy remains 2.0.0.

## 2.2.0 — 2026-10-15

Compatible additions. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Farm search items and details add `canonicalFarmId`. Six duplicate pairs share one displayed farm: bamboo, glow berries, cave spiders, silverfish, blazes and magma cubes. Source records and original routes remain available.
- Equivalent-record groups expose one canonical farm in `group.variants` and preserve the other record in optional `group.aliases: [{id, label, url}]`. Membership comes from the shared UI domain function.
- Composting retains genuine Manual/Automatic choices. Bamboo saplings are represented by the growth timeline rather than a duplicate selector.

Migration: Inputs, original IDs, record fields and URLs remain valid. Existing `^2.0.0` and `^2.1.0` clients remain compatible; use `^2.2.0` for the new metadata. Deduplicate search results by `canonicalFarmId` and request that ID for the displayed farm. Legacy-ID calls retain original records for provenance. `group.variants` lists UI choices; aliases are equivalent source records. Policy remains 2.0.0.

## 2.1.0 — 2026-10-15

Compatible additions. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

Affected tools: `block_graph_search_farms`, `block_graph_get_farm`.

- Farm search items and farm details add `group: {id, label, variants: [{id, label, url}]}`, derived from the same domain grouping function as the UI and restricted to the requested edition.
- Farm search accepts shared group names while retaining individual farm results, IDs and pagination.
- Eight new browsing groups cover mushroom spreading, huge mushrooms, Nether fungi, moss, sculk, general mob farms, raid targets and fish species. Each variant keeps its own mechanics and evidence.

Migration: Existing IDs and inputs remain valid. Existing `^2.0.0` clients remain compatible; use `^2.1.0` when requiring group metadata. Request a variant using its original farm ID. Group membership does not establish identical conditions or interchangeable layouts. Policy remains 2.0.0.

## 2.0.0 — 2026-10-15

Breaking conduct-policy change: **yes**. Agent policy: **2.0.0**.

- Cloning The Block Graph site is not allowed and is unethical.
- Using the site through its proper, documented APIs is allowed.
- Crediting The Block Graph by name and a relevant page or homepage link is required whenever using the site as a resource or using its APIs.
- Discovery includes machine-readable attribution instructions; every tool description states these owner requirements.

This major version reflects new conduct restrictions. The nine tool names, call schemas and response fields are unchanged. Gameplay ethics remain unspecified.

Migration: Review policy 2.0.0, stop site cloning and include required credit. After review, use `requiredApiRange: "^2.0.0"` and, when pinned, `requiredPolicyVersion: "2.0.0"`. Discovery remains available with older pins and reports incompatibility.

## 1.1.0 — 2026-10-15

Compatible additions. Breaking change: **no**. Agent policy: **1.0.0**.

- Discovery includes the complete conduct policy and an explicit capability map with supported, partial and UI-only coverage.
- Every success and error adds `policyVersion` and `policyUrl` alongside the existing API/build/dataset fields.
- Optional `requiredPolicyVersion` pins an exact policy. Discovery reports a mismatch; content calls reject it before loading datasets.
- Add saved API contracts and source-change reviews to normal checks and production builds. Input restrictions and removed tools require major versions; compatible additions require minor.
- Gameplay ethics are unspecified. The policy distinguishes allowed behavior, prohibited behavior and unethical conduct, and states what the static page can enforce.

Migration: Existing `^1.0.0` API clients remain compatible. Read `agentPolicy` and `capabilities` from discovery. After reviewing policy 1.0.0, callers may include `requiredPolicyVersion: "1.0.0"`. Maintainers must record capability and version-impact reviews before releases.

## 1.0.0 — 2026-10-15

Initial stable release. Breaking change: **no** (first release).

- Nine read-only tools: API discovery and changes, resource search and details, acquisition paths, recipes, counted recipe planning, farm search and farm details.
- Every success and error includes API version, build number, release date, build timestamp and applicable edition/dataset identity.
- Explicit Java or Bedrock selection for content tools, bounded pagination and runtime input validation.
- Compatible-version checks using stable exact (`1.0.0`), caret (`^1.0.0`) or tilde (`~1.0.0`) ranges.
- Native `document.modelContext` registration only in supporting secure browser contexts; tools run on shipped static data.
- Cancellable recipe planning in a worker, preserving incomplete/search-limit outcomes and farm evidence limitations.

Migration: Start with `block_graph_get_api_info`, then pin `requiredApiRange` to `^1.0.0` for compatible updates.
The machine-readable release entry lists every affected tool: [changelog.json](./changelog.json).
